> Use the iBeacons to show an up to date map of the area your customers are currently visiting. Customers can browse through available activities. For example, in a museum, visitors get to see the art layout for their current room and can easily request extra information on a particular piece of art.
> The iBeacon technology is able to track the places you have visited. This way, the fun can already start at home. Say you’re planning on visiting a theme park. Beforehand you can select a number of rides you would like to take. Pinpoint will track which rides you’ve been to, which are still on your list, and indicate estimated waiting times.
> The location-awareness of the app means that your customers get the chance to interact with the objects around them. For example, in a store, consumers can save items around them they like. Or, at an art exhibit, visitors might want to get more info on a painting they’re close to at that moment.
The system works with Apple’s iBeacon technology, which means you can place sensors in any location you want. As soon as someone comes close to the beacon, they will get a pop-up on their phone (iOS / Android / Windows 10). The phone uses Bluetooth Low Energy to detect how close you are to a beacon and show you any relevant information or action possibilities.
